At weekends, I sleep underneath a wool comforter which I consider one of the most ignored but most comfortable types of comforter to sleep under. From my perspective they are a bargain. Wool by definition allows moisture to wick away making it hypoallergenic and resistant to dust mites and other allergens. This makes it a healthy textile and one which all allergy sufferers should consider. The common misconception is that wool is heavy which is far from the truth. High grade wool filler can be even lighter than down and I have constantly surprised visitors to my summer home by demonstrating that in person to them. I sleep underneath a Euphoria organic wool comforter which I have scattered around my summer house. Most people will prefer the classic weight for all year warmth, but I prefer the lighter summer weight and just switch to something a little heavier for 3 to 4 months of the year.
