Pluses:

• Low temperature operation: hot gas defrost is a great feature of these Ebac dehumidifiers, and particularly important in cold basements or unheated areas that require constant dehumidification; without a defrost feature, dehumidifiers can shut off for long periods of time

The Ebac CD425 Dehumidifier is a rugged “stand-alone” unit that can handle the extra load encountered in a typical humid industrial setting. It may be heavy and big in size but the CD425 is definitely powerful and efficient enough for controlling the humidity in large open areas. Features such as 285 pint water removal capacity, humidistat control, system indicator lamps, ductability, hot gas defrost, a rugged exterior, and low temperature operation make this dehumidifier an excellent choice for industrial dehumidification needs. Of course, one would expect that with a dehumidifier this powerful it would use a lot of electricity and although the CD425 is no exception it makes up for it with the very large amounts of water it can pull from the air. Furthermore, at 353 pounds it is a machine that you will decide on once where to locate it and set it up and not want to be moving it around. Regardless, these things can be overlooked when one considers why to purchase a dehumidifier like this in the first place, which is the fastest and greatest moisture removal one can hope for from a single unit.
