The Ebac Kompact dehumidifier is what it’s named, and its compact size permits one-man operation and quick, easy set-up. It can handle several rooms at a time since this dehumidifier can remove up to 15 gallons of water from the air each day in extreme conditions. It has everything you would want including a built in condensate pump with 25 feet of drainage hose to easily remove the water it pulls out.

Pluses:

Minuses:

• Does not come with an adjustable humidistat, however the optional humidistat controller sold below can help power the dehumidifier on and off based on the desired humidity level
• Not the stingiest when it comes to power usage with 880 watts at start-up but it only uses 2.5 amps when running

Summary:

The Ebac Kompact is a mobile, compact moisture removing machine that is ideal for drying out industrial, commercial, and residential water and moisture problems. It has everything that one would be looking for in selecting a dehumidifier including quality construction, easy mobility and set-up, easy method of drainage, and last but not least has the ability to remove lots of water from the air. It is difficult to find a product that is perfect and the Kompact is no exception. The only thing we could find fault with is it does not come with an adjustable humidistat. So if one wants to use it to control the humidity in a location on an ongoing basis they would need to acquire one like the total humidity controller we sell below. Although it only removes 2.7 pints per kilowatt hour of electricity that is used, once it is running it pumps out 7.4 pints with its low 2.5 amp draw of electricity. In the end, the Kompact does not disappoint and is nothing fancy and is simple. When everything is said and done we can speak very highly of the Kompact and we know you will too.
